Once we got past the old woman, well, it got better.
    It’s a nice clean environment
Seems like a nice place in the beginning
The stairs are bit tricky. A teacher or a teacher helper was leading a small group of kids. One fell then they all fell. No one hurt. though.
The teachers and curriculum is lacking. There is one lesson in the morning and one in the afternoon. At least that how it is for Class 1 and 2. Sadly, some of the children are smarter than the teacher.
One class is bringing in more then $4000 a week on average. I don't understand why they don’t have better teachers.
Don't know who the old lady is but she needs to go or learn some public relation skills.
The maintenance man must be related to the owner. He is just milking his job. He knows how to butter up the old lady. Old lady must be a manager or something.
    ******
Pluses: Good clean environment. I have to give it 4 and half stars. I have been to many day cares in Quincy and this is among the top day care places in terms of cleanliness. Only a few places that I would give five stars.
    ****
Middle of the road: Fairly safe place.
    ***
Cons: The old woman, teachers, teacher assistants - not good (this is based on Class 1 and 2) I don't know about the others. Only hear say. They say they do there job and that’s it. It’s a day care and that’s it. Don't expect education.
Overall: It’s a nice clean place; fairly safe; do the educating at home and it will be all right.
    **
Prospects: It could be a great place if they only had some good teachers. I don't understand why they don't. I have to say that, if the old lady is managing this day care, then its time for her to go.
    Hope this is helpful. Cheers!

  • I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy good experiences at the child care center. Our middle daughter went to WCCC and has gone on to do very well at elementary school, academically and relating with the other kids in school. Our third daughter, now three, started at the center at fifteen months and is having a great time. The greatest test to us as parents is she wakes up longing to go school, the games she play and songs she sings at home are from school. We are satisfied with her development. Like any other institution as diverse as WCCC we have from time to time raised concerns or asked questions. However, each time we have had them addressed by the center authorities, in some cases it has been just as simple as explaining why things have to be a certain way or be done in a certain way. I find WCCC a good institution that I have learnt from as well. I acknowledge how people express themselves may be different, including the old lady, but I feel comfortable that my daughter is well taken care of.

  • I have two children that have gone through WCCC. Let me just say that I feel that they were very well prepared for kindergarten by the time they left. My daughter has gone on to do well in school and has now been accepted into Quincy's advanced TAG program at Central Middle School. I think that the strong foundation she built at Wollaston Child Care Center gave her an advantage and helped her to excel in school. My son started at 15 months old in the WCCC Toddler program and started reading when he was 3. He was reading whole children's books at 4 years old. I don't know about the comment that says there is a lack of curriculum, but we didn't spend much time teaching him to read, he just started reading to us. I'm very glad that my kids were able to take advantage of this program and I wish that it had been around when I was a kid.

  • My son started the Toddler program here on January and loves it! The staff is very professional, welcoming and warm. They continue to provide educational and fun activities week after week. I am a huge fan!

  • Great childcare and preschool! Especially for those who have children with food allergies! My daughter will start in the toddler room soon and has peanut and tree nut allergies and WCCC is amazingly careful with their allergy protocols. They are a truly nut free facility (and I have done my research). I feel safe bringing my daughter there! My son who is 4 years old has been going there for 2 years. He has gone through the first three classrooms (toddler room, #1 and #2) and will be in classroom 4 starting soon. He LOVES the school. He never complains about going. Their curriculum is excellent and they offer a diverse spectrum of experiences for the kids. They are a structured and rigid with their schedules but I liked it since it was consistent and the children thrived on the predictable routine. Their teacher-student ratios are lower than Ive seen in some other preschools which lets the kids more one on one attention. Lastly, their prices are great and everyone is so friendly! I would highly recommend this childcare!
